The best thing about the Xerox App Gallery is that it’s always expanding—and that means more ways to automate and simplify your workflows. If you own a Xerox ConnectKey enabled device, you already have access to tons of different apps. Perhaps you’re using some now to improve efficiency and extend the capabilities of your printer or MFP.
If you haven’t started using the Xerox App Gallery yet, now is a great time to go and browse to see what you might want to start using. Just like the app store on your smartphone or other mobile device, some of the apps on the Xerox App Gallery are free, and some are paid—but they all offer a unique benefit worth exploring based on your unique usage scenario.
Whether you’re new to the App Gallery or you’ve been using it for a while, did you know that the past few months have been particularly kind to the Xerox App Gallery? We’ve seen a bunch of really impressive new additions, like Salesforce and QuickBooks integration apps. In this post, we’ll take a look at some of these fresh apps and how you can integrate them into your workflow.
To find and begin using any of the apps discussed below, you can visit the Workplace Assistant Apps section of the App Gallery and select the ones you want.
Salesforce App for Xerox ConnectKey Enabled Devices
If you’re a user of the hugely popular customer relationship management (CRM) service Salesforce, this app is a no-brainer. You can access your Salesforce data right from your MFP, making it a snap to upload, share, or print information. If you regularly scan documents into your client folders, this app will help you automatically put those documents in the right places.
Forms Manager App for Automated Workflows
If you use forms in your workflows on an even semi-regular basis, this app is a huge time saver. The filing and organization of multiple forms is simplified for easier access and analysis, and the app even offers pretty nifty features like automatic routing based on embedded QR codes.
Xerox Audio Documents App
This might be the coolest new app to hit the Xerox App Gallery. The app allows you to take any document—scanned hard copy or digital—and convert it to an audio file, similar to an audio book. The “computer voice” isn’t perfect, text-to-speech technology has been getting so good lately that it’s pretty close.
Converting a document to audio form is an excellent way for commuters and multitaskers to familiarize themselves with the content even while they’re busy doing something else.
QuickBooks Online Xerox ConnectKey App
QuickBooks Online, the incredibly popular accounting software, can now be integrated with your Xerox ConnectKey enabled device. Here’s the really cool thing about it: if you scan receipts (e.g., for expense reimbursements), this app is more or less a must-have. Multiple receipts can be scanned, the data from which are automatically pulled into an easy-to-read expense report.
These reports can even be automatically sent to the proper recipients right after creation, massively cutting down on the amount of time spent filing expense reports. Even if you don’t use QuickBooks for all of your accounting needs, this one feature itself is enough to justify trying out the app.
